CHAPTER TEN

MEGHAN

The past couple of days had been a whirlwind.

I was starting to lose track of time. When the days consisted of eating and having a lot of sex with a lot of men, it was very easy to lose track of the whole day and night cycle. Especially when it was dark out almost every hour of the day. Or snowing. Or both.

It was morning, though. The clock on the wall showed a time of nine a.m., and all four of the wolves were strewn about on the bed around me.

For a change, I wasn't caught in one of their loving death grips. Usually, I would be perfectly fine with that because being in their arms was truly magical.

I was just fine with this too. I could get up, throw on a sweater, and spend a moment alone before they all woke up. They had given me so much again and again, and not just sexually. They were lively companions, fun to be around, and they were affectionate with me.

It was slightly overwhelming to be so completely desired by four men, and I felt the need to give back as much as I could.

They had cooked for me, so I figured it was my turn to cook for them.

Still, I was worried that if I made too much noise, I'd wake one of them up and they'd go and do the chivalry thing and insist on cooking for me again instead.

That or they'd fuck me.

Which I wouldn't hate, but there was something to be said for moderation.

In the kitchen, I poked around for the ingredients to make pancakes. Maybe some sausage too because it seemed like protein was a big deal for these guys.

Before they all converged on me like ... well, a pack of wolves, I told myself this trip was all about my story on Santa.

That had taken quite the back seat over the last couple of days. Partially due to the weather, but also, in part, to the fact that I now seemed to be the mate of a pack of wolves, and I was happy about that.

It made no sense in the context of my normal life, but in the context of this trip—it was wonderful.

I found some baking mix in the pantry, and in the refrigerator, I found sausage links and some bacon too. I figured I may as well spoil them even if bacon wasn't the most protein-rich food.

After doing the limited prep work, I got everything sizzling on the griddle, and I was faced with a quiet house and time to think.

The last few days had been like a dream. An endless assault on my senses, something that felt right out of dirty movie. Except the men I was screwing were wolf shifters.

Ultimately, that didn't matter. They were human beings and they behaved like humans, at least in my presence. I really didn’t know what it would mean to the relationship that they could also have fur and run on four legs, but I’d learn about that as things progressed.
